Vinçotte awarded inspection contract for nuclear pressure equipment

The Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection has awarded the inspection contract for nuclear pressure equipment to Vinçotte nv. If you wish to file an objection to our decision, you can do so until midnight on 21 August 2024.

Screening nuclear pressure equipment, from design to operation

On 15 May 2024, Vinçotte nv submitted an application to the Authority to fulfil the role of inspection body for nuclear pressure equipment. Vinçotte inspects pressure equipment from the design phase to manufacture. Its inspection services also cover subsequent phases, in which the equipment is brought into operation and is fully operational.

Inspection body for a 2-year period

In its decision (in Dutch), the Authority has awarded the inspection contract for nuclear pressure equipment to Vinçotte nv starting from 10 July 2024. The Authority’s decision is valid for 2 years.

Deadline for objections: 21 August 2024

Interested parties who wish to file an objection to our decision can do so until midnight on 21 August 2024. If you wish to object, you must do so in writing and include:

  • the date
  • your name
  • your address
  • the grounds for your objection
  • your signature

Send your objection to: Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection, P.O. Box 16001, 2500 BA The Hague, stating 'Objection' as the subject.

Preliminary relief

If your objection is urgent, you can also request preliminary relief. This course of action ensures that a decision is not implemented until the Administrative Jurisdiction Division has assessed your request and issued a decision. You can request preliminary relief after you have submitted your objection. You can do this through the digital service desk of the Council of State (in Dutch), using DigiD to log on.
