The Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS) ensures that the highest standards of nuclear safety and radiation protection are met in the Netherlands. The ANVS performs that role by laying down rules, issuing licences, ensuring that licence-holders abide by the conditions and, if the need arises, taking enforcement action.

On the 7th of December 2022, the ANVS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) in Ottawa, Canada.

Renewal of partnership arrangement between the ANVS and US NRC

On Wednesday the 28th of September 2022, the Dutch Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS) and the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (US NRC) have signed an agreement to renew their partnership for the upcoming 5 years.

Situation in Ukraine

Due to the recent developments in Ukraine, the Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS) is monitoring the situation in the country. The ANVS is in contact with the IAEA and the RIVM.

The Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS) is independent and professional; it continuously monitors and promotes nuclear safety, radiation protection and security for this and future generations.
