The Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS) combines expertise in the fields of nuclear safety and radiation protection, as well as security and safeguards. For these fields the ANVS focuses on the development of policy, legislation and regulations, licensing, and supervision and enforcement, as well as information of the public. The ANVS is involved in safety research and development studies and is responsible for ensuring that the Netherlands is prepared to respond to potential radiation incidents.
