TÜV SÜD designated inspection body for nuclear pressure equipment

The Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection has designated TÜV SÜD as an inspection body for nuclear pressure equipment. If you wish to file an objection to our decision, you can do so until midnight on 2 October 2024.

Screening nuclear pressure equipment, from design to operation

On 4 July 2024, TÜV SÜD submitted an application to the Authority to fulfil the role of inspection body for nuclear pressure equipment. TÜV SÜD inspects pressure equipment from the design phase to manufacture.

Inspection body for a two-year period

In its decision (in Dutch) of 21 August 2024, the Authority has designated TÜV SÜD as an inspection body for nuclear pressure equipment for a period of two years.

Deadline for objections: 2 October 2024

Stakeholders have until midnight on 2 October 2024 to object to our decision. If you wish to object, you must do so in writing and include:

  • the date;
  • your name;
  • your address;
  • the grounds for your objection;
  • your signature.

Send your notice of objection to: Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection, PO Box 16001, 2500 BA The Hague, stating ‘Objection TÜV SÜD designation’ as the subject.

Preliminary relief

If your objection is urgent, you can also request preliminary relief. This course of action ensures that a decision is not implemented until the Administrative Jurisdiction Division has assessed your request and issued a decision. Preliminary relief can be requested after you have submitted your objection. You can do this through the digital service desk of the Council of State, using DigiD to log on.
