Improving patient care

ETZ and BVI provide specialised care to patients at multiple locations in North Brabant. They have already obtained authorisation from the ANVS for this purpose. ETZ and BVI have been issued a new joint licence for Brugstraat 10 in Tilburg.

The healthcare institutions are jointly responsible for the nuclear medicine department at Brugstraat 10. This ensures better alignment of radiological and nuclear medicine care within ETZ and BVI, with the goal of boosting quality.

ETZ and BVI use the radioactive materials and devices (such as X-ray equipment) for the treatment of cancer with radiation, for example, and for conducting patient research. They can be used to precisely locate tumours in cancer patients, which allows for more targeted radiation.

Licences for the use of radioactive materials and X-ray equipment previously issued

ETZ and BVI have already received Energy Act licences from the ANVS, allowing them to use radioactive materials in nuclear medicine as well as X-ray equipment in the radiology department.

Appeals may be submitted until 10 January 2025
