Our new 2025 Annual Review is now also available in English. This document features various interviews with staff members talking about a range of activities the ANVS carried out in 2025. Besides reporting on the performance of our statutory duties, it also describes the ANVS’s development as an organisation.
Growth ambitions and preparations
In our Annual Review 2025, we show what the ANVS has been doing to prepare for increased nuclear technology and radiation applications in the Netherlands. The ANVS must act to ensure continued safe handling of radioactivity as the sector grows. That means we worked on our strategy to oversee the growing field of nuclear medicine. In addition, we provided more clarity toward initiators of new nuclear power plants by updating our assessment framework for nuclear facilities in harmony with international standards.
Investing in our organisation and our people
Our drive toward further professionalisation goes beyond the establishment of clear guidelines. We also worked to upgrade our information systems in the past year. This will enable us to further improve the accessibility of licensing, oversight and crisis management information. Through a comprehensive training program, we are also investing in our people. Together they work to make sure the ANVS is prepared for the future, while also protecting and promoting the safety of people and the environment each day.
